Keith Worthy: Keeping It Spontaneous

Keith Worthy, a native of Detroit’s East Side, has been involved with the local music scene there since he was inspired by some of Detroit’s electronic music legends and listened to local radio stations while growing up.  His label, Aesthetic Audio, with the vision of “abstract thoughts set to rhythm” issued its first release back in 2007, and quickly became well respected in the industry “capturing the raw essence of abstract and untainted genre free music, and successfully articulating this message without compromise.”  We had a chance to catch up with Keith ahead of his appearance at Sheik ‘N’ Beik Halloween this Friday, November 1st to discuss his ever-evolving career, some of the artists who were most influential to him while growing up in Detroit, his forthcoming album ‘The $ of Non-Conformance,’ and playing in New York this weekend at Shiek ‘N’ Beik.
